In 2012, from a tiny back bedroom, we launched Yorkshire’s first luxury holiday cottage agency. It started with just a handful of properties, building up to a collection of around 200 cottages across Yorkshire. For many years we had the pleasure of welcoming guests to our owner’s beautiful homes, but in 2019 decided to move on and focus on creating our own design-led luxury cottages.
Our company ethos is to offer guests the very best in terms of interiors, facilities and location. Helmsley has always been a special place for us and our family, so it’s fitting this is the setting for our very first Yorkshire Velvet property; The Velveteen Bath House.
We bought the house late 2021 and set about completely refurbishing it from top to bottom, creating a comfortable, stylish and luxurious holiday home. We put our heart and soul into this project and have tried to create something unique and full of character, while at the same time offering you every luxury we would expect on our own self-catering holidays.
