The Velveteen Bath House
The Velveteen Bath House is a luxurious holiday cottage set in the gorgeous market town of Hemsley in the North York Moors National Park.
We spent 12 months completely refurbishing the house and garden to create the ultimate in luxury self-catering stays. We have tried to tick every single box in terms of comfort and facilities so that guests want for nothing during their stay. The design-led interiors include two en-suite bedrooms, a cinema room, cosy snug with open fire and a huge open plan kitchen.
We also completely redesigned the outside space to create a serene SPA Garden with separate areas to lounge, dine and SPA.
Our Love for The North York Moors
As well as providing our guests with the very best in accommodation, we make every effort to share our love for Helmsley and the wider North York Moors. We have been visiting and enjoying Helmsley for decades and think there is nowhere quite like it in the UK.

Getting out into the Moors
We are proud members of the North York Moors Walking scheme and our House Book includes suggestions for walks from the doorstep as well as further afield. There are also several North York Moors Walking Guides to use in the house.
We also recommend cycling routes across the area including family friendly routes, more challenging trails and where to hire bikes locally.
